Mammoth Responds to Customer Demand with Expansion to Dallas

Mammoth Networks, a facilities-based aggregator of wholesale data services across the U.S., announces that it has begun building-out a Dallas-based Point-of-Presence (POP). The Dallas POP is being built to address increasing customer demand for big-bandwidth and Ethernet-based data services throughout the Southwest. RealLinx, a Texas-based provider of multi-site managed IT, voice, broadband, security and hosting solutions services, is among Mammoth’s anchor tenants in the Dallas facility.

The Dallas POP will help RealLinx expand our footprint and continue to deliver superior quality service. A critical location in the heart of the Southwest, Dallas serves as a strategic interconnection and network hand-off point for carriers and aggregators across the nation. Mammoth’s Dallas POP is collocated in the Equinix facility in the InfoMart building in downtown Dallas. The new POP will tie directly into the company’s Denver to Phoenix network ring and will help Mammoth provide near ubiquitous data service across the West and Southwest.

While this is a break from our more traditional rural market focus, the Dallas POP allows us to enter new markets and interconnect with key carriers, by way of Dallas.”

Operating as both a CLEC and wholesale provider, Mammoth purchases fiber connectivity from over forty carriers, nationwide. The company utilizes its own equipment and facilities to strategically deploy that fiber in over thirty POPs around the U.S. This enables the company to provide next-generation Ethernet-based services via multiple networks that operate as a single platform.
