Mammoth Expands Ethernet Aggregation, Adds to Board

Mammoth Networks announces the expansion of its Ethernet Aggregation product line with the addition of Layer 2 Ethernet long-haul service, piloting this service in seventeen initial markets from Seattle to Atlanta, and from San Francisco to Chicago. The Mammoth Ethernet Aggregation platform combines Metro Ethernet services with long-haul Ethernet to provide a true exchange of Ethernet traffic from end-to-end. The service provides handoffs from 10Mbps to 10Gbps, latency guarantees, jitter guarantees and high-availability guarantees that top most carriers' Metro Ethernet product.

The highlight of Mammoth’s Ethernet Aggregation product is the ability to create WANs without mileage charges or concern for LATA boundaries. Even more important, this product is combined with Mammoth's ability to leverage 21 carriers, delivering fiber services to 172,984 buildings, towers and Central Offices across the intercontinental US, Hawaii and Canada.

When quoting a WAN, Mammoth believes customers should focus on delivery to all of their client's locations, not just the ones that are on-net to a single vendor. This circuit-agnostic approach is the cornerstone of what Mammoth provides its customers.

As Mammoth continues to expand its operations and focus on service quality, Mammoth is proud to announce the addition of Justin Nelson, Founding CEO of Dash Carrier Services, to its Board of Directors. With more than 12 years of technical and high-level management experience in the telecom industry, Mr. Nelson brings a depth of practical knowledge to the table that will greatly benefit Mammoth’s continued growth, especially during this large Ethernet expansion.

“I’m honored to represent and advise Mammoth Networks in this capacity. As a single source wholesale data aggregator with one billing platform they provide a unique and cost-effective solution to the industry. If small telecom providers do not know about Mammoth’s one source solution they should and it benefits them to find out,“ said Nelson.

"Having Justin as an advisor strengthens our ability to handle challenges as they arise for our business and our clients. Not only does he augment our industry experience, he is a powerful executive with a get in the trenches attitude," said Brian Worthen, CEO of Mammoth. “

The company will also be adding additional project management and operational staff to handle growth. The company has experienced top-line growth of 2.1 to 3.9 percent each month for the last three years.

Mammoth Networks is a facilities-based aggregator of wholesale data services, providing service across the contiguous 48 states and Canada.
